The Leica M6, Commonly used amongst street photographers and photojournalists is a rangefinder camera that was manufactured by Leica from 1984 to 2002 until its rerelease in 2022.

The M6 features a crystal clear viewfinder, a mechanical timed horizontal running cloth shutter with speeds from 1sec – 1, 1000th with bulb, and a 1 60th flash sync.

An ASA range from 6 to 6400, and a durable M-mount bayonet which is compatible with arguably some of the best lenses in the world. 

The 0.72 variant offers a 0.72x viewfinder with frame lines for 28mm & 90mm, 35mm & 135mm, and 50mm & 75mm frames.

.Often referred to as the M6 Classic  Introduced in 1986, is a fully mechanical rangefinder combining the silhouette of the Leica M3 and the Leica M4 with a modern TTL through-the-lens light metering that takes a lithium LR44 battery, The light meter consists of LEDs in the finder where you adjust the lens or shutter until the LEDs are balanced.
